As of June 25, 2011, I am living in Beijing, capital of the People's Republic of China. Some friends have encouraged me to set up a blog to share my experiences, thoughts, etc. This is my first time blogging; I hope you find it of interest.

We're Trying to Sleep Here!
Chinese people are very friendly...to a point LOL. This is in a part of Beijing with a higher than normal distribution of obnoxious, intoxicated foreigners, so to the Chinese apartment dwellers trying to get some sleep....I say, more power to you ;-)
This photo was taken on the main "bar strip" in 五道口 (Wudaokou). For those unfamiliar with Beijing, Wudaokou is an area with lots of universities, so more foreigners than other parts of the city. There are three main areas in Beijing where people "hang out"- Wudaokou, Sanlitun, and HouHai. I spend more time in Wudaokou than the latter two, because I live one subway stop away in Shangdi.

ReplyDeleteI met someone who says he saw the same neighbors throw soy sauce on the pedestrians....that might be going a bit far LOL ;-)
